Congratulations to Devin Francis.

Record-Journal Design-an-Ad ProgramCastle Bank & Trust Company would like to congratulate Devin Francis, a 3rd grade student in Mr. Benigni�s YMCA After School Program in Meriden. Devin was selected as an Ad Design Finalist in the 20th Annual Edition of the Record-Journal�s Design-An-Ad Program.

This very special section of the Record-Journal comes to you thanks to more than 90 area businesses and local schools who have worked together in partnership with the Record-Journal. As we all know children are our most valuable resource. They have used their talents to design wonderful ads.

This year�s Program features the creative work of finalists and grand prize winners from over 5,000 entries.  Students in grades three through nine designed ads for area businesses. These activities are all a part of the Record-Journal Newspapers in Education program which serves every school in Meriden, Wallingford, Southington and Cheshire. As part of national Newspaper in Education month, this section of the Record-Journal reflects just one of the many NIE projects students participate in.

The Design-An-Ad and Writing Contest entries were selected by a panel of judges. Grand prize winners and their families will be honored at an awards presentation to be held at the Record-Journal. All students who participated in this project will be awarded certificates of recognition for their efforts.
